Your AI Chatbot Is Not Your Lawyer examines how client and attorney use of AI chatbots can affect attorney-client privilege, work product protection, confidentiality, and discovery obligations. The course walks through the legal framework courts are applying to AI-generated materials and gives Texas attorneys practical steps for advising clients, selecting AI tools, documenting litigation-related use, and reducing the risk that chatbot interactions become discoverable.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING

Computer & Technology Section of the State Bar of Texas

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Computer & Technology Section of the State Bar of Texas will be held in person during the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in Houston, Texas.

At the Annual Meeting, the Section will conduct the business required by its Bylaws, including the succession of the Chair-Elect to the office of Chair upon the expiration of the current Chair’s term, and the presentation by the Nominating Committee of its report and nominations for members of the Council. The Section will also consider and act upon such other business as may properly come before the Section.

Members of the Section present at the Annual Meeting will constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. Elections will be determined by majority vote of the voting members of the Section in attendance and will be conducted by show of hands unless otherwise ordered by resolution duly adopted at the meeting.

This notice is given pursuant to the Bylaws of the Computer & Technology Section, including Article V and Article VI.
