The 8th Annual Technology and Justice for All program

evolving intersection between law and technology. Speakers addressed the
ethical use of generative AI in legal practice, including risks related to
inaccurate citations, confidentiality, and supervision. Cybersecurity experts
and former law enforcement officials walked attendees through real-world breach
response protocols, client protection duties, and data privacy best practices.
The program also covered effective use of courtroom
technology, with hands-on guidance for presenting digital evidence and adapting
to remote hearing environments. Additional sessions focused on legal ethics in
the digital age, professional responsibility under Texas and ABA rules, and the
impact of emerging tools like ChatGPT on the day-to-day realities of legal
work. This one-day event delivered both foundational tech literacy and timely
updates on AI, cybersecurity, and courtroom innovation for attorneys practicing
in an increasingly digital legal landscape.
