WELCOME TO CIRCUITS
Circuits is the eJournal of the Computer and Technology Section of the State Bar of Texas. It features timely articles exploring the intersection of law and technology, including topics such as cybersecurity, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and tech-focused legal practice tools. Contributions come from attorneys, technologists, educators, and judges who share practical insights, regulatory updates, and thought leadership. Circuits is designed for legal professionals seeking to stay informed about evolving tech trends that impact their practice and clients.
Thoughtful and well-researched legal articles may focus on a range of subjects, including Supreme Court act reviews, case overviews, or emerging issues in the law, especially technology related issues.
Length: Feature articles must be 1,500 words or less, excluding footnotes. Short Circuits articles may range between 300 and 1000 words. Circuit board article length is dependent on the topic covered and is suggested to be within 2 to 5 pages of printed content.
Form: Each final submission must be accompanied by a summary paragraph and a short author bio in Word document format.
Content: Any article of interest to legal professionals in the state of Texas is a candidate for inclusion in the eJournal. Discussion of current events that may impact the legal profession are also good candidates for inclusion.
Timeline: It is important to meet the submission deadline when a topic for an article is accepted to be included in the next issue by the editorial staff.
